Valentine’s Day in Lockdown: How to keep the romance alive at home.

Valentine’s Day in Lockdown: How to keep the romance alive at home.

Fancy restaurants, champagne bars and flower markets have been the hallmark of Valentine’s Day for years on end. However, this year is going to be different. But different does not have to mean less romantic! Here are some ideas for celebrating Valentine’s Day at home…

Romantic meal for two

Whether or not you have mastered the art of baking banana bread and cooking fancy meals during lockdown, anyone can cook a romantic meal for two if they truly put their mind to it. Let’s be honest, it’s all about the effort really…. And if not, Deliveroo is always there to lend a helping hand!

Romantic (socially distanced) walk

Go for a romantic stroll around a local park or perhaps somewhere you have created memories together in pre-covid times. It’s good to reminisce on the romantic times you have spent together. If you’re local to London, check out our recent blog post about local dog walks.

Get dressed up

Remember the days when we would dress up and head into town for a romantic meal out? Just because we are staying in doesn’t mean we don’t have an excuse to dress up and feel good. So let’s keep things special, get out the high heels and tux! Be sure to use our live webcams for a romantic backdrop whilst you’re sipping on some bubbles.

Plan future romantic experiences

We won’t be in lockdown forever, so why not snuggle up and plan a shared experience to enjoy post lockdown. Planning things to look forward to when life resumes to normality is important. Why not book an experience in one of the most romantic locations in London? The View from The Shard currently have a Valentine’s package available to purchase now which includes two tickets to visit on any date in 2021, fast track entry, a glass of Champagne each and all delivered free of charge in a gift box which includes a limited-edition coin. But hurry, we only have 500 packages available!

Cocktail night.

Everyone’s missing a good night out with your favourite cocktail in hand, so why not re-create this in your living room? This ones good for all the singles out there too and anyone celebrating Galentine’s day. Jump on a zoom call with your loved one or friends and sip the night away… and there’s no Uber fee home! Or for those amongst us who are keeping with the Dry January theme and staying sober check out our Facebook page for a variety of mocktail masterclasses.
