Kids Go Free this October Half-Term
26 October - 1 November 2015
This October half-term school holidays, each paying adult to The View from The Shard visiting between Monday 26th October and Sunday 1st November 2015 is entitled to two child tickets free of charge!*
What better way to inspire a child’s fascination with London, than by standing at the top of The Shard with stunning panoramic views for up to 40 miles?
At The View from The Shard, the capital is brought to life with interactive multimedia guides and ‘Tell:scopes’, allowing kids to time-travel through the 360-degree views as far back as Roman times with panoramas from the Museum of London archive.
A free of charge child ticket is only valid for children aged 4 – 15 years (infants aged 3 and under do not require a ticket).

Museum of London 'Objects in Focus'
Last Sunday of Every Month + Wednesday, 7 October
Join us on the last Sunday of every month to get your hands on history!
The Museum of London will be at The View from The Shard running complimentary object-handling sessions from 10.30am to 4pm.
See and touch artefacts discovered on the foreshore of the River Thames and archaeological finds from the London 2012 Olympic site.
Winter is coming to The View from The Shard
Join us this winter as London's own summit, The Shard will be transformed into an enchanting, sensory winter experience from 23 November 2015 to 31 January 2016.
Created by innovative British experience designers Bompas & Parr, theatrical ice crystals, frost and snow drifts will charm guests 800ft above the city on our open-air Level 72 Skydeck.
Just as the natural phenomenon of snow has the ability to transform an everyday view into something magical, this sensory journey will evoke the playfulness and romance of the season with a series of exciting themed edible experiences available to purchase.

Paul A Young Chocolate Experience
3 November & 25 November
Join us for the unique opportunity to meet world-famous chocolatier Paul A Young who will be hosting an evening of deliciousness at The View from The Shard.
The ground breaking and inspirational flavour alchemist has selected four of London's best establishments to celebrate our fair city as well as the tremendous people, businesses and institutions it has to offer. Make your way around London as you go on a taste adventure from North to East to South to West where each area will be experienced in the form of sight and taste. Plus, you'll have a chance to speak to the genius himself after you've tasted his amazing creations.
During your two-hour experience, you'll enjoy a welcome glass of Champagne and four exquisite tastings especially designed by Paul. Paul will be tempting you with chocolate pairings with Brewdog brewery, Asterley Bros artisan spirits, Pizza Pilgrim and the Southerden Patisserie.
South American Wine Tasting
11 November 8pm - 11pm
Join us for an evening whirlwind tour of South American flavours this November.
Enjoy some wine gems from South America, where winemaking dates back to the 1500’s. Fast forward to the 21st century, where old winemaking traditions combine with modern techniques, to experience all manner of delights.
Wines will be showcased from the giants of the continent, Argentina and Chile, along with the evolving industries of Brazil and Uruguay, each wine chosen to complement some flavourful food.
The tapas-style menu of canapes will showcase some South American favourites including seabass ceviche and empanadas.
Tickets will go on sale on Time Out on Saturday, 3rd October 2015.
New Year’s Eve Party at The View from The Shard

This year, start 2016 on a high and watch the whole of London bid farewell to the year gone by at our special New Year’s Eve party at the top of Western Europe’s tallest building.
All guests will receive a welcome cocktail, hear The Diamond Boys perform and enjoy dancing to a set from a live DJ all while the city counts down to midnight. But it doesn't end there; when Big Ben strikes 12, you will be able to experience 360 degree views of London whilst toasting the New Year with a glass of complimentary Champagne. Plus, as a little treat to start the year on a brilliant note, you'll also receive a goody bag.

The View from The Shard is delighted to be sponsoring the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust as our official UK charity partner.
The Trust is the only charity in the UK that supports athletes during their transition from sport and empowers them to use their unique skills to transform lives of disadvantaged young people through dedicated mentoring programmes.
Since they were founded in 2008, the Trust have impacted over 200,000 young people and have helped over 400 athletes transition from competitive sport.
They currently deploy athletes onto a diverse range of personal development programmes and community projects and in the last year, 84% of young people on the flagship ‘Get On Track’ programme were in employment, education or training by the time they completed.
