A new year has arrived at The View from The Shard, and after fully recovering from our spectacular New Year’s Eve celebrations – where guests enjoyed London’s fireworks from a truly unique vantage point – we’re taking a moment to reflect on some of the standout moments from an unforgettable 2025.

A new year has arrived at The View from The Shard, and after fully recovering from our spectacular New Year’s Eve celebrations – where guests enjoyed London’s fireworks from a truly unique vantage point – we’re taking a moment to reflect on some of the standout moments from an unforgettable 2025.

March kicked off with sporting excitement as England faced France in the Six Nations. We screened the match live on our open-air SkyDeck, creating an electric atmosphere high above the city. Stars from England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup winning team joined us for the occasion, helping to auction a selection of luxury items in support of charity.

Music took centre stage in July when Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Jax Jones performed an exclusive set, treating guests to the first-ever listen of his new single, Stereo. The year also saw us collaborate with legendary Fabric nightclub for a series of dance music events and we’re delighted to confirm that these unforgettable nights will continue into 2026.

Also in July, Diamond and Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer Toby Gad delivered a truly outstanding concert at The View. Joined by some of his favourite collaborators, including Paloma Faith and Megan McKenna, Toby captivated guests with stories from his career working with artists such as Madonna, Beyoncé and John Legend. Adding to the experience, our own cultural expert Zia hosted a music-themed skyline tour proving once and for all that you’ll never look at Abbey Road the same way again.

Between July and September, we were proud to support conservation charity Tusk as part of The Turtle Trail, which featured 16 life-sized turtle sculptures displayed across London. A turtle designed by Rob and Nick Carter took pride of place on Level 72, attracting visitors from around the world. We also hosted the auction of the sculptures and are delighted to have helped raise over £160,000 to directly support Tusk’s vital work with partners across Africa.

December brought some truly memorable moments, including a visit from Sultan Kösen, the world’s tallest man. In London for a television interview, it felt only fitting for him to visit one of the world’s tallest buildings.

The festive season concluded on a magical note as we welcomed both Elf on the Shelf and Paddington to The View. Our London Experts delighted children and adults alike with storytime sessions on cosy rugs in front of our towering Christmas tree. Guests unanimously agreed it was the perfect way to embrace the festive spirit though the true stars of the show were Elf on the Shelf, his friend St Bernard, and Paddington himself, who roamed the venue meeting guests and posing for photos.

As we look ahead to 2026, we’d like to thank everyone who joined us throughout the year and helped make 2025 so special. We can’t wait to welcome you back for even more unforgettable experiences in the months to come.
