The View from The Shard has quickly developed a reputation as one of the most romantic destinations in London. At almost twice the height of any other vantage point in the city, we offer breath-taking panoramic views stretching up to 40 miles. Together with your partner you can enjoy the spectacular views with a glass of champagne and see the city sparkle from the top of London’s tallest building. Our unique setting creates the most romantic atmosphere to ask for your loved one’s hand in marriage.

Package includes:

    • Exclusive 30-minute hire of The View from The Shard for two adults, with the option to extend to 60-minutes
    • Private area decorated with candles, lanterns and rose petals 
    • Large bouquet of flowers, or upgrade to a premium bouquet
    • Your own personalised soundtrack
    • Two glasses of Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut Champagne, or NaughtyAF non-alcoholic sparkling wine

Frequently asked questions

  • What happens once I’ve made a booking?


    Our concierge team will discretely contact you via phone or email once you have made a booking online to discuss what happens on the day. They will also ask you to submit your music playlist.

    You will receive contract from our team around 10-14 days before your booking.

  • Can I bring anyone else with me?

    The package price does not include any additional tickets. However, you may add an extra people for £75; this will include a glass of champagne or a soft drink, so they can toast the moment with you. Our concierge team will contact you once you have completed your online booking and you can add any extra people onto your booking at this stage.

  • Where exactly will the proposal take place?

    Your proposal will take place on the North East side of The Shard on level 69. However, don’t forget you will have the entire floor to yourself during the experience, allowing you to walk all around the floor, enjoying the views from North, South, East and West.

  • Can we stay longer than 30 minutes?


    You may extend the session in increments of 30 minutes for a fee of £675 per 30-minute extension. You may add on the extension when our concierge contacts you after you have placed your online booking. Please note, extensions are subject to availability.

  • Will there be other people in the venue?


    No. The space will be exclusively yours making this an extra special occasion.

  • What if I change my mind after booking?


    Bookings are non-refundable. Date changes can be considered subject to availability and notice. A date change fee may apply. You may discuss this with our concierge.

  • How far in advance do I need to make my booking?


    You can place your booking no later than 7 days prior to your intended date. But please note, bookings are subject to availability so we advise you to book as soon as you can.

  • I have specific flowers I want to have. How do I organise this?


    Our concierge team will be able to discuss any bespoke requirements with you when they contact you following your booking. Any extra costs for items that fall outside of the standard package will be agreed with you.

  • What is the cost?

    The price depends on the date you book. You can check live availability and check the price for your chosen date by following the booking steps.

  • Do I need to pay a deposit?

    The reservation is required to be paid in full at the time of booking. It’s not possible to pay a deposit.

  • Can I have food or a cake?


    We do not offer food options nor do we allow you to bring any with you.

  • Can I organise my own photographer?


    We can organise a photographer and prints for you. However, if you prefer to organise your own photographer, they will need to pay the £75 extra guest fee to join you. Tripods are not permitted.

  • Can I organise a musician?

    Due to the short turnaround time, we ask that you discuss organising any musicians with our concierge before making any bookings. We will do our best to accommodate your request where possible, but we cannot guarantee this.

    A musician will require an extra guest fee of £75 per person and should the set-up take longer than 15 minutes, there may be an extension fee of £675 per 30 minutes.

    Any equipment will need to be PAT tested, risk assessed and third parties will need to ensure they have the relevant level of public liability insurance.

  • Can I have balloons?


    We do not permit balloons.

  • What music will you play?


    Following your booking, our concierge team will be in touch to build your music playlist for the experience. The choice is yours.
